NGĀ TAMARIKI O POIHĀKENA
JUNIOR KAPA HAKA RŌPŪ
Māori Sports & Cultural Association (MSCA) is excited to be working towards establishing Ngā Tamariki o Poihākena, a new junior kapa haka rōpū based in greater Sydney area.
Our wawata (aspiration) is to create a welcoming and supportive space where our tamariki and rangatahi can strengthen their connection to te ao Māori through waiata, haka, te reo Māori and tikanga, while building meaningful relationships with their culture, whakapapa and each other.
As our rōpū grows, we hope to provide opportunities for our tamariki and rangatahi to share their pūkenga (skills), celebrate their Māoritanga and proudly represent our hapori Māori at performances and kapa haka whakataetae across Australia.

together, we all have a part to play in carrying this kaupapa forward.
