The connection between Mana Rugby and the NSW Māori Sports and Cultural Association is built on more than rugby.

It is built on whakapapa, identity and the shared vision of strengthening the connection between Aotearoa and Australia for our Māori and Kiwi rangatahi.
Across both kaupapa sits the same belief — that our young people should always feel proud of who they are and where they come from, no matter where in the world they live.
For many whānau living in Australia, rugby has become the waka that brings our people together. Through trainings, tours, waiata, haka and shared experiences, both Mana Rugby and MSCA continue creating spaces where rangatahi can reconnect with culture, build lifelong friendships and strengthen their sense of belonging.
Although separated by the Tasman, the connection between Aotearoa and Australia remains strong through our people. Every player, every whānau and every kaupapa carries that connection forward.
Mana Rugby and MSCA share the same values of manaakitanga, whanaungatanga and kotahitanga. Together, both organisations are committed to creating opportunities that go beyond the field — helping shape confident young leaders connected to culture, community and identity.
What makes the partnership special is the understanding that rugby is only part of the journey.
The real purpose is about uplifting our rangatahi, strengthening whānau connections and ensuring the next generation continue carrying the mana of our people proudly on both sides of the Tasman.
One whakapapa. One kaupapa. One connection.
